ART150

ART150 is an antibody under development for the treatment of small cell lung cancer and melanoma.

ART150 targets gangliosides (complex molecules made of carbohydrate and lipid that are present in the membranes of cells) and is currently in pre-clinical trials.

In a mouse model of human lung cancer, ART150 was able to completely inhibit tumour development, even after the completion of treatment.

Melanoma is the 5th and 6th most common malignancy in men and women worldwide (2.4% and 4.9% resp.). The incidence is almost doubling every 10-15years and over 100,000 cases were diagnosed in 2006 (Source Datamonitor).

Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) accounts for 20% of all lung tumour types, with over 80,000 cases diagnosed in 2007 (Source Datamonitor). Unmet need remains high due to poor prognosis and lack of effective treatment.
