ART140
ART140 is based on a lead mouse antibody called JL-1, which binds to a novel epitope that is highly specific for acute leukaemia cells, with minimal expression on normal tissues. Engineered forms of the antibody can kill leukaemia cells with high potency and reduce tumour burden in animal models of acute leukaemia. The JL-1 antibody was identified by Professor Seong Hoe Park at the Seoul National University and was then licensed into the Korean company Dinona, Inc., which then licensed the rights to Arana. Arana is currently characterising the antibody in more detail and performing humanisation.
