Aim Rule 26

Checklist and Guide for the Compliance with AIM Rule 26
The London Stock Exchange publishes specific rules for companies listed on its Alternative Investment Market (the AIM Rules for Companies), including requirements for disclosure of particular information on the website of AIM listed companies (Rule 26). These rules require different disclosure methodologies to those required under ASX listing rules and Corporations Act 2001 requirements. Rule 26 is targeted at ensuring that investors and potential investors can access a minimum level of information about an AIM company at all times, requires an AIM company to maintain a website on which key company information must be disclosed and kept up to date.

Its country of incorporation and main country of operation Arana is incorporated in Australia, which is also the main country of operation for the Arana group.
Where the AIM company is not incorporated in the UK, a statement that the rights of shareholders may be different from the rights of shareholders in a UK incorporated company; Arana is incorporated under, and is subject to, Australian corporations and securities legislation, including the Corporations Act 2001 and related legislation and regulations. The respective rights of Arana’s shareholders may be different from the rights of shareholders of companies incorporated in the United Kingdom and other non-Australian jurisdictions.

Arana has been listed on the Australian Securities Exchange www.asx.com.au since 1986 and on AIM since December 2006
The number of AIM securities in issue (noting any held as treasury shares) and, insofar as it is aware, the percentage of AIM securities that is not in public hands together with the identity and percentage holdings of its significant shareholders. This information should be updated at least every 6 months As at 20 December 2007 Arana had on issue 234,986,037 ordinary shares.
Significant shareholders identified as at that date comprise:
- Start-up Australia Ventures Pty Ltd   (Bioventures Aust P/Ship A/C) with   22,433,969 shares (9.55% of total   issued capital)
- Citicorp Nominees Pty Ltd with   14,703,152 shares (6.26%)
- Sun Hung Kai Investment Services Pty   Ltd (Client Honest Opport Ltd A/C) with   7,130,219 shares (3.03%).
There are no ordinary shares held by Arana as treasury stock and all shares are believed to be in public hands.
